Lincoln County Democrats and other Maine progressive voters or interested seasonal residents are welcome!

The Democratic State Convention is the single largest gathering of Democrats anywhere in the state of Maine. The Maine Democratic Party is looking forward to welcoming delegates, alternates, guests, federal and state-level elected officials, and Democratic candidates to organize, network, and build momentum for Democratic victories in 2024.
The convention gives Democrats the opportunity to hear from Maine Democratic Party leadership, Democratic candidates, and grassroots leaders; meet fellow passionate Democrats from across the state; and participate in activist workshops. Only Convention delegates speak on the floor and vote, but the event is open to the public and we encourage you to attend!
Delegates elect their County’s representatives to the Democratic State Committee, the governing body of MDP. They also debate and vote on amendments to the Maine Democratic Party Platform (our core values) and Charter (the rules that govern our internal Party matters).
A detailed schedule, delegate information, and a registration form is available here: https://www.mainedems.org/2024convention

The Lincoln County Democratic Committee acknowledges that we are meeting on unceded Wabanaki land. The Wabanaki Nations – the Penobscot Nation, Passamaquoddy Tribe, Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians and Mi’kmaq Nation – have stewarded the lands and waters of Lincoln County and all of Maine for more than 12,000 years. We acknowledge the cultural and physical genocide of the Wabanaki caused by colonialism and recognize that the impact of that history on Tribal citizens persists today. We support ongoing decolonization efforts and affirm that Wabanaki Nations are distinct, sovereign, legal, and political entities with their own powers of self-governance and self-determination.
