30 May 2019 LCDC members elected to 2020 State Convention Committee positions
At the May 16, 2019 monthly meeting, elections were held by the membership to name our representatives to the 2020 Maine State Convention Credentials Committee (1) and Platform Committee (3). A description of the committees was posted at an earlier date.
Marilyn Buhyoff, recording secretary, was nominated and elected by unanimous vote to serve on the Credentials Committee.
Chris Johnson, chair, and Ina Demers, Democratic State Committee member, were nominated and elected by unanimous vote to serve on the Platform Committee by unanimous voice vote. Chris Johnson said that he is interested in seeing a “values statement” platform this year, with one page, not ten. He said that it is important to have input from LCDC members.
