EVENT POLICIES AND COVID-19 PREVENTION PROTOCOLS

*subject to change due to the ongoing nature of the pandemic. Updated Aug. 21st.

What attendees need to know:

  • Ticket holder parking spaces will be clearly marked to ensure appropriate six-foot social distancing. In keeping with the current maximum limit for outdoor gatherings, attendees are asked to remain inside their cars during the event. Only when instructed, attendees may sit outside in the spaces marked directly in front of their vehicles in lawn chairs they bring themselves or on the ground. Once parked, engines must remain off.
  • High-profile vehicles: trucks, vans, etc. will be parked in the last rows. No campers, trailers, or non-two-axle vehicles.
  • All General Admission vehicles will be assigned parking spaces by our volunteer attendees on a first come, first served basis upon arrival. No saving spots. Due to safety concerns, you must stay in your parking space until the end. (Emergencies will be excepted.)
  • Masks must be worn when you are not inside your vehicle. The only reason for which you are permitted to leave your allotted parking space is to walk to the closest portable restroom facility. No visiting other attendees or congregating in other areas of the venue.
  • Concessions will not be available at the event. Boxed meals may be pre-ordered and pre-paid online or by mail before August 27. Food distribution will follow the CDC Restaurant guidelines.
  • Outside food and drink are allowed. No glass containers. No alcohol.
  • No smoking/vaping.
  • Attendees should “carry in and carry out.” All trash will be taken home with you, including any generated from onsite concessions.
  • Dogs are not allowed. Exceptions for service dogs can be requested by contacting info@lincolncountydemocrats.com.
  • Attendees who do not comply with these rules will be asked to leave the event, no refunds.

A note about some of our COVID 19 Prevention Protocols:

  • We will follow Maine CDC and DECD guidelines for large social gatherings, drive-in theaters and general business best practices.
  • No more than a total of 100 persons will make up the number of speakers/performers/volunteers or attendees in the outdoor event space at any one time (attendees in their vehicles do not count toward the gathering limit).
  • Tickets will be available online or by mail for contactless admission and contact tracing ability.
  • All speakers/performers/volunteers/employees will be asked screening questions before entering the Speedway.
  • All speakers/performers/volunteers will be required to wear masks unless they are using a microphone.
  • All shared microphones will be sanitized between users.
  • The grandstands will be closed to audience members.
  • Portable restroom facilities will be provided and fully sanitized prior to the event with hand cleaning and cleaning supplies available and physically distanced markings for the line. FULL Accessible portable restrooms will also be available.
