Advocacy/Activism Toolkit

Looking for ways to take action on progressive issues that matter most to you?

This toolkit is a great place to start. While the LCDC coordinates meetings and activities to support and elect Democrats to office, we recognize that Democrats also need outlets for expressing their concern around issues, resources for gaining reliable information, and suggestions for taking meaningful action.

Don’t be afraid to stand up and speak out!

Advocacy

We encourage you to learn about how you can show your support for or opposition to Maine legislation that is in front of our representatives. You may act on your own or you may wish to work with an organization (like one listed below) that can direct your energy toward meaningful collective action.

Activism

Share your concerns by contacting our elected representatives, writing letters to the editor, talking with your neighbors, participating in marches, protests, etc.

RAPID RESPONSE

If you would like to receive one-way communications about citizen actions or instructions on how you can make your voice heard QUICKLY, please opt in to receive Rapid Response Team notifications.
