Sheriff Todd Brackett

Lincoln County

Sheriff Todd Brackett of Nobleboro began his career in law enforcement in 1985. He worked his way up the ranks and, after four years as Police Chief in Damariscotta, was elected Lincoln County Sheriff in 2002. Under his leadership, the Sheriff’s Office has implemented many programs to ensure the safety of all who live and work in Lincoln County, including the CodeRED Emergency Notification System and the tip411 anonymous tip line. Also started during Todd’s tenure is “R*U*OK,” a free service that provides daily well-being check-in calls for people who live alone, and “Project Lifesaver,” a program that serves the needs of children and adults with autism, Down syndrome or a cognitive impairment, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s, who may wander from home and get lost. He was recently appointed to the Maine Recovery Fund Advisory Council and is active with recovery initiatives around Lincoln County. He served as President of the Maine Sheriffs’ Association from 2007-2009, sits on the Executive Committee as Treasurer, and is currently Maine’s senior Sheriff. Brackett is also past recipient of the Frances Perkins Award from the Lincoln Count Democratic Committee. Todd is running unopposed.
