DAVID LEVESQUE ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR MAINE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

NEWCASTLE, ME, January 22, 2020 – David Levesque announces his candidacy for the House District 90 Representative to the Maine House of Representatives.

I look forward to talking with District 90 voters about my leadership and advocacy skills, experience and values. I would be greatly honored to have the opportunity use my skills to effectively represent District 90 at the Legislature,” Levesque said.

Levesque has lived in Newcastle for 20 years. He lives there with his wife, Susan, who is a math and robotics teacher at Lincoln Academy, and their three sons, Luke, 24, Austin 15, and Joseph, 12.

He grew up in Hancock County in a family engaged in the extremely hard work of commercial fishing, boat building, and marine construction. Maine’s marine traditions are near and dear to him.

He attended the University of Maine at Farmington and earned a degree in Business/Political Science. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Maine and a law degree from the University of Maine School of Law.

He practices law out of his office in Damariscotta.

Despite the struggles that come with running a small business, it is a great pleasure representing individuals and businesses in District 90 and beyond,” Levesque shared.

Having the privilege of his education, law practice and business, Levesque strives to share his experience and skills with local, state and national nonprofits by serving on various boards and committees. He is a past president of the Maine State and Lincoln County Bar Associations, the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Southern Maine Alumni Association. He is Chair of the University of Maine at Farmington Board of Visitors and serves on the Board of The Carpenter’s Boat Shop.
