26 May 2022 ICYMI Video of the May 19 Meeting | Defending Our Democracy with Secretary Bellows
The Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC) held its monthly meeting on May 19, 2022, as a hybrid event. Thanks to everyone for their patience while we work through the technology kinks in order to make the hybrid model work for our meetings. Stay tuned for details about our upcoming meetings. (If you are interested in helping to run some of the technical aspects at these meetings, we are looking for some volunteers to share the workload. Find out more by contacting us at info@lincolncountydemocrats.com.)
Thanks to LCTV for helping with the setup and for recording our guest speaker’s presentation. Secretary of State Shenna Bellows presented “Defending Our Democracy” where she discussed legislative accomplishments that continue to make Maine a model for protecting voting rights in the country; disinformation that poses risks to our democracy and how to counter it; and concrete ways to stand up for voting rights and election integrity in 2022. She also took questions from the audience. The video is below along with some photos courtesy of Bob Crink.
Note: Portions of this video have been edited to remove LCDC business that should not be made public. One item of business included a vote to approve amendments to the bylaws. The current bylaws are on the Committee Page.
