10 Jan 2025 In Memoriam ~ Tomlin Perkins Coggeshall ~ 1954-2025
We are sad to share that longtime LCDC supporter and 2018 Frances Perkins Award recipient Tomlin Perkins Coggeshall passed away on January 7, 2025, just 22 days after witnessing the December 16, 2024, Presidential Proclamation signing by President Joe Biden designating the Frances Perkins National Monument.
From the press release announcing Tomlin as LCDC’s 2018 honoree: “Tomlin has volunteered endless hours making phone calls and volunteering at the campaign headquarters. We also honor his efforts to ensure that current generations understand and sustain the programs which improve all our lives as a result of his grandmother’s lifelong work. Since the time of the New Deal, these programs have never been more important to people’s lives, nor have they ever been more endangered,” shared Sandie O’Farrell of Waldoboro and LCDC Treasurer.
