21 Aug 2022 District Attorney Natasha Irving
Prosecutorial District 6
Includes Lincoln, Waldo, Sagadahoc and Knox counties
Natasha Irving, the first woman to be elected District Attorney of Maine’s Prosecutorial District No. 6, began her legal career as a defense attorney in Waldoboro, Maine. Since her election in 2018, she has focused on restorative justice principles and providing alternative pathways beyond incarceration for people convicted of crimes. In bringing the restorative justice philosophy to Maine, Irving’s goal is to spend less time on non-violent offenders and more on violent offenses such as domestic and sexual abuse. Under Irving’s leadership, the District Attorney’s Office also expanded the Victim Witness Advocates program. Irving previously served with Americorps and she holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Loyola University and a law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. Natasha is running unopposed.
