AUGUSTA, Maine, August 6, 2024 – Maine Democratic Party Chair Bev Uhlenhake released the following statement on Vice President Kamala Harris’s announcement that she has selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate:

As a father, former high school football coach, and educator, Governor Walz understands that there is nothing more important than building a future full of opportunities for all Americans.
