I find that my history of working with citizens of Lincoln County allows me to be compassionate with the issues I have to deal with while serving as a county commissioner. As a member of a team we work closely to make decisions that best serve our residents fairly. One concern is to make sure that the Towns taxes are fair and try to reduce them when we can. All three of us spend much time discussing upcoming taxes. All three of the Lincoln County Commissioners are on the Jail authority. I have served as the chair of the Authoriy. Today Hamilton Merserve is the acting chair of the authority. And there are 6 members from Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties. We try to make possible decisions that serve you best.

Born and raised in Damariscotta the youngest of three children, went to Lincoln Academy and attended Boston College returning to Maine got married have 2 daughters. Started working for Damariscotta Police Dept. Attented the state Police Academy (tough training) returned to Damariscotta and within a year was hired by the Lincoln County commissioners to work with high risk kids within Lincoln County. Several years later my position was moved to the sheriff Office. There I presented the Dare program to county schools and stayed there for 20 years. Left there to begin a non profit to work with high risk youth. Did that for 10 years. At that time I thought I might run for county commissioner.

I am a county officer so am not able to receive state funding but am able to receive local donations.
