30 Jan 2020 Westport Island Democratic Committee Meeting | February 5, 2020
Please join us on Wednesday, February 5 at 6:30 PM at the Westport Island Town Hall (1217 Main Road/RT 144) for a meeting is in preparation for the March 3rd Democratic Primary and March 8th Democratic party town caucus.
Additionally Holly Stover, State Representative for District 89, which includes Westport Island, will be at the meeting to take questions and concerns, plus talk about the accomplishments of the past legislative session and what she hopes will be achieved in 2020. Holly is running for reelection and will be looking for help on her campaign. With the Presidential race likely to take most of the focus this election, we must not lose sight of the need to support those who’ve been working hard for our interests in Augusta.
There will be a chance for some discussion about the Democratic Presidential candidates – how could we not, with so many excellent candidates running it’s hard to make a decision between them? But this discussion will be limited so the meeting can focus on local and statewide concerns, plus some opportunities for volunteering and organizing this winter and spring.
