21 Oct 2022 Wiscasset Democrats host a Party for the Party
On a bright October 13th Thirsty Thursday, the Wiscasset Dems gathered at The Ledges party barn to enjoy good company, a live band, and free beer, wine, and snacks. The event was well attended, and Will Truesdell’s Junction 218 appropriately played lively versions of several “blues” tunes.
Jason Putnam, President of the Wiscasset Democrats, rallied the crowd with the facts on the new House District 47 race that is expected to be a deciding factor in helping democrats remain on top in Augusta for the next two years. He pointed to Evan Goodkowsky in the crowd as a former democrat running as an independent in the race, and urged all to get out the vote for Evan as the best candidate for heading off the republican challenger. All attendees were encouraged to take signs for Mills, Reny and Goodkowsky and to talk to neighbors about the high stakes of the HD 47 race in November.
