13 Aug 2024 Jennifer Stone
Candidate for
State House District 45
Includes Bremen, Louds Island and Waldoboro in Lincoln County, plus Friendship and Washington in Knox County
Jennifer “Jen” Stone is concerned about the future of her community and wants to fight for dignity and basic human rights with healthcare as a top priority. Jen’s ties to Maine began when she attended Unity College, graduating in 1998 with a degree in environmental science with a concentration in wildlife. After graduation, she worked for The Presidio Trust where she implemented sustainability-focused projects, and The Marine Exchange of San Francisco, where she facilitated communications between multiple parties. In 2004, Jen returned to Maine and was welcomed back to Unity College as assistant director of admissions. She settled in Waldoboro in 2005 with her husband to homestead and focus her energy on being a stay-at-home mom for their son. Jen worked at Rising Tide Co-op for many years, and most recently worked at the Pen Bay YMCA. These positions afforded Jennifer the opportunity to interact with her community in meaningful ways. It is service to her community that has motivated Jennifer to seek a seat in the Maine House of Representatives.
