About Denise Tepler
I am running for my second term in the Maine Senate.  I currently serve as Senate Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee and also as Senate Chair of Marine Resources. I previously served 8 years in the Maine House as Topsham’s State Representative.  During that time I served on the Taxation Committee, the Appropriations Committee, and as House Chair of the Health Coverage, Insurance and Financial Services Committee (2 terms.)  Prior to that I was on the Town of Topsham Finance Committee, and an elected member of the M.S.A.D. #75 School Board.  My husband and I have lived in Topsham for 42 years and have raised 5 children here — all of whom attended local public schools.  In my free time, I cook, read, lift weights, and travel when I can.
