For February, we’ll collect some much needed items for the Waldoboro Food Pantry. If you are able to contribute, they request:

-personal care/household items: bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toilet paper
-condiments: salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, spices, herbs

Please bring donations to our monthly hybrid meeting that will be held on Thursday, February 27, starting at 6:30 p.m. for social time at the Newcastle Fire Station, 86 River Rd. You may drop your donation even if you cannot stay for the meeting.

There are at least eight food pantries in Lincoln County: Alna, Boothbay, Jefferson, Newcastle, New Harbor, Waldoboro, Whitefield, and Wiscasset. In addition to the food pantries, some communities in Lincoln County have free food stands that stock nonperishable items that are available 24/7.

As LCDC continues its partnership with Healthy Lincoln County, we thank all who have provided assistance with food insecurity through their generous contributions. We look forward to the continued support of our members and friends for this worthy cause.
