Annual event celebrates our local agriculture community

WHITEFIELD, ME, September 20, 2018 – Maine’s autumn bounty will be the source for the Lincoln County Democratic Committee’s (LCDC) Harvest Dinner, to be held at the more than 100 year old Kings Mills Union Hall, 901 Townhouse Road in Whitefield on Sunday, Oct. 14.

The meal will include hearty stews, chowders, breads, cider, and pies – all made with locally harvested produce – and will kick off at 5 p.m.

The LCDC is thrilled to invite folks from across Lincoln County and beyond to experience the fellowship that comes from sharing a harvest meal in the midst of communities experiencing a farming renaissance,” said Valarie Johnson of Somerville, chair of the event.

Attendees may pay at the door or reserve a space through the secure portal at http://lincolncountydemocrats.com/harvest. Meals will be $15 and children under 10 will eat free of charge. Opportunities to be an official host for the event are available for $50.

For more information or to become a host, please contact Valarie Johnson at 549-3358 or ValarieSmithJohnson@gmail.com.
