On February 22 meeting, nearly 90 joined the Zoom that featured an update from Congresswoman Chellie Pingree who answered questions for nearly an hour; brief remarks with caucus kudos from Maine Democratic Party Chair Bev Uhlenhake; and introductions of seven of our Democratic candidates for federal, state, and county offices. Committee business included minutes approval, a treasurer’s report, the voting in of 14 new members, and the election of Keith Mestrich of Bristol as the new LCDC vice chair. Note: the Q&A and business portions of the meeting are not included in the video. Links to resources shared during the meeting are below.

Note that the March 28 meeting will again be Zoom only when we’ll get a campaign preview from Maine Democratic Party Chair Bev Uhlenhake and a talk on “No Labels and other third-party efforts: What to know about how they could affect the presidential race,” by Emily Cain, senior strategic advisor to Third Way, a national center-left think tank. Hybrid meetings will resume on April 25.
