DAMARISCOTTA, Maine, Feb. 21, 2022 – The Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC) will host a Meet the Lincoln County Democratic Candidates event on Sunday, Mar. 6, from 1-2:30 p.m., as an online forum. The event is open to the public regardless of party affiliation.

Voters will get a chance to hear from Democratic candidates running for the state legislature, district attorney, sheriff, and other offices. This event is being held in lieu of in-person Democratic caucuses this year. The primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 14.

Attendees may join the Zoom, watch the livestream, or view the recording to be posted following the event by visiting https://lincolncountydemocrats.com/march6.

The candidates who are scheduled to participate include: District Attorney Natasha Irving; Sheriff Todd Brackett; state senate candidates David Levesque (SD13), Cameron Reny (SD13), and State Senate Majority Leader Eloise Vitelli (SD24); County Commissioner Bill Blodgett (D2); state house candidates Clint Collamore (HD45), State Rep. Lydia Crafts (HD46), and State Rep. Holly Stover (HD48).

The LCDC reminds voters that there have been some state house district changes due to the reapportionment process that followed the 2020 census results. The 2022 state senate and house district numbers for Lincoln County towns may be found here: https://lincolncountydemocrats.com/maps.

Mar. 6 also marks the deadline for Democrats to submit their online ballots to elect delegates from their towns to attend the Maine Democratic State Convention in May. Zoom attendees of the Mar. 6 event are invited to remain online following the candidate speeches if they have questions about how to access or submit their ballot.

Questions may be directed to info@lincolncountydemocrats.com. The next regular meeting of the LCDC is Thursday, Mar 17, at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. All registered Democrats and unenrolled progressives are welcome to attend. Registered Democrats in Lincoln County are invited to join the LCDC as voting members to help in their work. Register for access and/or inquire about membership by visiting http://lincolncountydemocrats.com/meet.
