NOBLEBORO, MAINE, Jan. 15, 2023 – The Nobleboro Democratic and Republican Committees have joined forces to sponsor a fundraising luncheon at the Nobleboro Baptist Church (8 Back Meadow Rd.) from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11. The fundraiser will raise money for fuel assistance for Nobleboro folks in need. The Community Energy Fund of Lincoln County has generously agreed to distribute the money raised by this event back to Nobleboro residents.

“The Little Town with a Big Heart” is the town’s motto.

The menu for the lunch will include varieties of chili, cornbread, a baked potato, and pie. Takeout will be available. The cost of the meal will be what you give with your heart.

Adapted from the Community Energy Fund of Lincoln County’s website: CEF was formed almost two decades ago to help those in need who do not qualify for state or federal heating assistance programs. CEF contacts local energy suppliers to schedule and pay for a delivery. One hundred percent of all donations are used for charitable purposes. All administrative functions are voluntary and requisite overhead and all related costs are covered by the continuing generosity of the community. The fund is primarily used to provide fuel, such as heating oil, kerosene, electricity, propane or wood.

Anyone in Nobleboro who needs help from the Community Energy Fund should apply directly to the Town Office on Rte. 1.

Citizens are invited to send donations even if they do not plan to attend the lunch. Please make out checks to the Community Energy Fund of Lincoln County with a note on the check memo specifying assistance for Nobleboro and send to:
