24 Oct 2022 Voting for Reny

Dear Editor:
I want my daughter and two granddaughters living in Maine to have a good life. A life of freedom, agency and self determination – to follow their dreams. But I know that their reproductive freedom is on the ballot. Because where Republicans have power, women and girls are second class citizens. That’s just wrong. In Maine Democrats have led the effort to protect those rights and we can’t go back.
That’s why Cameron Reny has my vote for State Senate. She is committed and unequivocal about protecting the rights of women.
And Cameron will take with her to the Maine Senate a deep understanding of the hardships and life challenges of poor and hard working Maine people – because she lived it when she grew up poor in Round Pond, worked to put herself through college like I did, and now works in our schools to help students and families solve their problems. We are stronger when we work together to ensure everyone’s rights and opportunities to succeed. Cameron has the skills, understanding, and concern for others to make Maine a better place for all.
