A “Treat for Two” Raffle Tickets Available for Purchase in Damariscotta

DAMARISCOTTA, ME, June 20, 2019 – The Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC) announced a schedule of times when representatives will be selling tickets in front of Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shop on Main Street in Damariscotta for its “Treat for Two” raffle. The winner’s $30 ticket will include: a couple’s round-trip transportation from Rockland to North Haven Island, a tour of the Turner Barn farm, a five-course meal, local brew and wine, spectacular twilight views, and lively conversation. The value of this opportunity is $300.

We want to make it easy for folks to buy tickets for this exceptional prize,” said Geoff Bates Chair of the LCDC Fundraising Committee. “So we’ve varied days and times in hopes of catching anyone who might have some interest.”

LCDC Representatives will be available at the following times: Monday, July 1, 8 a.m.– noon; Tuesday, July 9, noon – 4 p.m.; Thursday, July 18, 1–5 p.m.; Saturday, July 20, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 3, noon–4 p.m., and Monday, Aug. 5, noon–4 p.m..

We’ll be able to accept cash, checks, or even credit cards using a secure Square point-of-sale device,” added Bates.

“We had a beautiful ride out. It was a gorgeous evening,” says Juliet, during the interview, “When we arrived it was so spectacular. We were just in awe of the view.”

Dexter adds, “There were probably 40 attendees and everyone there was very interesting. It was just a lot of fun!”

The winning ticket will be drawn during the LCDC’s annual Family Fun Day Lobster Bake, Sunday, Aug. 11. The winner will be notified that evening.

Funds raised through this initiative will be used for grassroots organizing by the LCDC to promote the nomination and election of candidates who advocate the ideals and principles ensuring an effective, democratic government of and for all the people.
