Avantaggio to Seek Re-election for Judge of Probate

BREMEN, Maine, April 26, 2024 – William Avantaggio, Esq., of Bremen has announced his candidacy for re-election for Lincoln County Judge of Probate.

Avantaggio was raised in Damariscotta and graduated from St. Lawrence University and University of Maine School of Law. He has practiced law locally since 1994. He was first elected as Judge of Probate for Lincoln County in 2016 and was re-elected in 2020.

Avantaggio currently serves as the Probate Court appointee to the State of Maine Judicial Branch’s Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics and the Probate and Trust Law Advisory Committee. He is also the current President of the Maine Assembly of Probate Judges.

Probate Courts in Maine are limited jurisdiction courts dealing with matters involving wills and estates, trusts, guardianships and conservatorships and name changes.

Avantaggio, a Democrat, is registered as a write-in candidate for the June 11 Democratic primary.
