NEWCASTLE, ME, October 4, 2019 – The Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC) will meet with U.S. Senate candidate and retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Jonathan Treacy of Oxford on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Fire Station, 86 River Rd., Newcastle.

Treacy, the fourth Democrat to announce a run for the U.S. Senate seat up for grabs in 2020, commented on the upcoming meeting,

I look forward to visiting with the Lincoln County Democrats. I love to meet with groups of committed Mainers, it's the best part of campaigning. People are telling me they want to be heard on the important issues of the day. Let's have a conversation.”

The LCDC met U.S. Senate candidate Bre Kidman of Saco on July 18, Betsy Sweet of Hallowell on Aug. 22, and has also invited candidate Sara Gideon of Freeport to attend an upcoming meeting.

The monthly meeting is an opportunity to meet members, participate in discussion, hear from political candidates, public officials and other speakers with expertise, ideas and opinions about current issues.
