WALDOBORO, ME, June 13, 2019 – The Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC) will host its annual Family Fun Day Lobster Bake at the Cider Hill Farm on West Main St. in Waldoboro on Sunday, Aug.11 from Noon until 3 p.m.

The LCDC welcomes Democrats, unenrolled and progressive voters from throughout Lincoln County for an afternoon of music, outdoor games, lobster steamed over an open fire, and lively conversation.

Many statewide and local Democratic officials will be present to discuss the recent legislative session and the outlook for the 2020 election year. A few of the officials who have already committed are: Henry Beck, Treasurer, State of Maine; State Sen. Eloise Vitelli, District 23; State Rep. Holly Stover, District 89; County Commissioner Mary Trescot; and Kathleen Marra, chair of the Maine Democratic State Committee.

Tickets for the lobster dinner are $40 per person and include lobster, mussels, corn, potato salad, coleslaw, watermelon, and soft drink. A cash bar offering fresh oysters, beer, and wine will be available. Jeff Hurd, owner of Waldoboro’s Narrows Tavern, will cater the event.

Folks who are interested in attending but who may not wish to order the full lobster dinner can purchase tickets for a grilled hot dog (2) dinner for $16. Children’s hot dog (1) dinners are available for $10. These meals also include corn, potato salad, coleslaw, watermelon, and soft drink.

We’ll gather for socializing at noon, and dinner at 1 p.m.,” said Geoff Bates, Chair of the LCDC Fundraising Committee.

It’s a high-spirited event, with a traditional lobster bake dinner, freshly shucked oysters, and gentle live music set in a pleasant location under a Democratic big tent. At the dinner’s conclusion, we’ll have the drawing for our fabulous “Treat for Two” boat excursion and farm-to-table dinner in the historic Turner Barn on North Haven Island,” he continued.
